Sherrill - Margaret Barnett

Mrs. Margaret Sherrill, 71, of 303 Binford St., died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home after a long illness. A Montgomery County native, she was the youngest of a family of six children of George and Susan Peterson Barnett and was born July 25, 1897. She was a 1916 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She married Everett W. Sherrill June 19, 1926 at the home where she died. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Sherrill was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Whalen of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth E. Williams of Oxford, Ohio, and Mrs. Cecelia Fogarty, who made her home with Mrs. Sherrill, and two grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating, assisted by Rev. John Servies. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. – jlr
